Our Adoption Story

Josh and I have been praying about starting a family for several years. After grieving and letting go of what we thought it would look like to start our family on our own, we gave it all to God. Through a lot of prayers, tears, and conversations, we have officially decided to pursue Domestic Infant Adoption. Since we made the decision to adopt, we feel like God has turned us down a new road where there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel. Although, we still have a long tunnel to travel down. Adoption is a heartbreaking situation for a lot of reasons, but we believe there is purpose in pain, and we trust that God has walked before us and made a way for us through this decision. We are eager, fearful, excited, nervous, and full of joy for what is to come. We trust the Lord wholeheartedly and will walk hand and hand in obedience through each door that he opens until it is closed. We are active with four agencies all in the state of Florida.

First, we ask that you keep us in your prayers. This is going to take a village as adoption is complicated, expensive, and unpredictable. Please pray that we have strength, courage, and faith through this process. Prayer is so powerful and we fully believe God performs miracles.  Also, please pray for our future birth mother and baby. This is an extremely tough decision to make for a birth mother. We hope to provide comfort and show Gods love to everyone we come in contact with through this process and that strong healthy relationships are formed.

Second, we will be announcing a few fundraisers that we are planning to help us raise money for our adoption. We have a huge goal to tackle. This is a part of the process that could have kept us from pursuing adoption altogether, but again, we are fully expectant of what the Lord will provide. Even if we could afford it all on our own, we prefer to do it with YOU. God has shown us miracles that come with having a strong community and we are blessed with incredible and selfless friends and family. We ask that anyone who feels led to help bring our baby home to us does.

Finally, please don't hesitate to contact us. The more people we have talked to about this process, the more we have learned and grown. We appreciate every bit of advice, word of encouragement, and questions that we have had already.
